Canvas Floater Frames

A floater frame is a specific style of picture frame designed for framing stretched canvasses. They give the appearance that the canvas artwork is suspended within the frame and are frequently utilised for oil paintings, mixed media artworks, and photographs displayed on canvas.

You should also measure the depth of your canvas and select a frame that is detailed as having an internal depth within +/- 5mm of your canvas depth. Although the internal depth cannot be altered, it makes no difference if the front of the canvas rests slightly inside or outside the canvas frame.
We will manufacture your frame so the canvas fits into the front opening with approximately 5mm shadow gap on each side.

All the frames are made with real wood mouldings and are supplied with hanging and fitting fixtures. The hanging fixtures incorporate D Rings, Screws and Cord which needs to be attached to the reverse of the frames, whilst the fitting kit includes velcro dots which secure the canvas in the frame.
Canvasses are framed without any glazing in front of them, so Floater Frames are not supplied with any glazing as glazing cannot be used with this framing method.

All orders are dispatched within 1-3 working days and sent via a next working day courier(most UK addresses). Deliveries to some areas of the UK can take 2-4 working days. Weekends and Bank Holidays are not working days so we do not dispatch or deliver on these days. Also, we don't send out any orders while we're closed for Christmas and until we get back open in early January.

Delivery to most UK Addresses is £7.20 for orders under £50 or free for orders over £50, however, some areas incur a higher charge due to increased courier costs.
